Only two matches took place in L-Style Division One following the postponement of Nottinghamshire v Worcestershire, Cleveland v Clwyd and Derbyshire v Gwynedd.

Merseyside made the journey down to Suffolk with the home side winning 20-16 which sees them move into 2nd place on the table, 8 points adrift of league leaders Cleveland wo still have a game in hand.

The visitors led 10 – 8 after day one following a 5-1 win for the Womens B, but a 9-3 win for a strong Suffolk’s Men’s A saw the home team take the win.

Suffolk’s player of the match awards went to Andrew Gilding (A), Brett Claydon (B), Leanne Topper (A) and Louise Collins (B).

Dave Harnick took the top average for Merseyside’s Men’s A, with Dave Richards winning it for the Men’s B. The women’s match awards were claimed by Vic Lloyd (A), with her sixth consecutive win of the season and Ellie Downey (B).

Surrey played host to Somerset once again, with the home team narrowly holding on to win 19-17. Not much could split the teams, with the Women’s A, B and Men’s A all drawing, with the win coming courtesy of a 7-5 win for Surrey’s Men’s B.

Highest average of the weekend in the women’s A went to Surrey’s Wendy Reinstadtler (24.15), with Vikki Norman taking the match award in the B. Surrey’s new season signings Nick Ellis and John Power took the match awards in the Men’s A and B respectively.

Justin Hood continues his impressive season with another player of the match award making it 6 match wins from 6, with Lee Burham taking the B award. Katie Hulme was standout player for Suffolk Women’s A and Sally Smith for the B team.

L-Style Division One results: Suffolk 20-16 Merseyside, Surrey 19-17 Somerset, Nottinghamshire P-P Worcestershire, Cleveland P-P Clwyd. Derbyshire P-P Gwynedd
