The Black Country travelled to Breconshire, where their 23-13 win over the home side sees them move into top spot in the Darts For Windows Division Three table.
Breconshire’s Women’s B made an almost perfect start, with a 5-1 win over the visiting team, but a 10-2 win for a strong Black Country Men’s B saw them take an 11-7 lead. The highest Men’s B average of the whole division was an all-Black Country affair, as Liam Kelly and Tom Bissell both recorded a 27.83.
The Black Country’s Women’s A posted a 5-1 win, backed-up by a 7-5 win by the Men’s A to secure the three win bonus points. The Black Country’s Men’s A and B teams sit top of their sections.
Gloucestershire now sit in second place, as they were pushed to and 18-all draw with Northumberland. Absolutely nothing could separate the two teams, with every A and B match resulting in a draw.
James Hurrell (29.91) continues his impressive form by registering the highest average of the division for Gloucestershire.
Salopian made the trip down to the Isle of Wight, securing the result of the division with a dominant 30-6 win. The home team held out for a 3-all draw in the Women’s B, where Kelly Stroud (IOW) achieved the highest B average of the Division.
Just three more games were to go Isle of Wight’s way over the weekend as Salopian’s Men’s B won 10-2, Women’s A 6-0, including the top divisional WOmen’s A average for Steph Clarke, and Men’s A 11-1. The win for Salopian’s Women’s A sees them remain top of their division.
With Shropshire having the bye this weekend, the final match saw Pembrokeshire host The Wirral. The Wirral took an early lead as the Women’s B drew 3-3 and the Men’s B won 9-3. Another 3-3 draw in the Women’s A match meant the visitors lead 15-9 going into the Men’s A matches, but an inspired 10-2 win by Pembrokeshire’s Men’s A saw them edge out their opponents 19-17 overall.
