As we look back at the 2021/2022 season, firstly we would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support and commitment to the Darts Corner UKDA National League.
We have all been faced with extremely tough challenges, having to essentially restart our sport from scratch after the enforced sabbatical due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
With that in mind, and the fact that thankfully we are able to progress forward without the threat of lockdowns and postponements, the UKDA Board of Directors have taken the decision to extend the 2022/2023 season and to ensure that there is a fairer time period between fixtures for all divisions.
Whilst we deem the Magic Weekend to have been a great success, we also realise from feedback that it wasn’t to the liking of everyone.
Therefore a decision has been made to remove the Magic Weekend from the 2022/2023 calendar.
The new calendar going forward will see fixtures played in May and June for the Premiership and Championship. And all other divisions finishing in April. You will see the revised dates in the attached fixture lists, that are available for each division in the header menu.
A revised version of the original 5 year calendar will be released in due course based around the dates of the 2022/2023 calendar.
Extensive work is being carried out at the moment on the partner hotels brochure for the 2022 /2023 season and this will be released in the next 7 days.
It is evident already that due to the rising costs of everything in society, that hotel rates will be higher and we would urge you to contact our Commercial Director Claire Stamper to avail yourselves of some of the best rates available.
Lastly the UKDA AGM has been set for the 31st of July 2022. A full information pack regarding it will sent out ASAP to all teams.
